What I like most about the 5-stage ultrafiltration under-sink drinking water filter purifier system is that it maintains the essential minerals in the water. It ensures that minerals such as calcium and magnesium are not filtered as they are very useful to the body. With my kids ranging from the youngest two years to 5 years the oldest, they need the minerals to help develop healthy bones in their body, which the ultrafiltration system gives to me. The first time i assembled it I did not do it right, and I almost returned it thinking it was not working, but when my husband did it, he got it right. If there were a way to have it delivered to you when it is already assembled, it would be perfect.
You have to replace the film after use for one to three years depending on how much you use it, which is cheap to do.

I wanted an easy-to-fit water purifier for our kitchen because our tap water always has an after-taste and I wanted chemical-free drinking water, but I didn’t want the costs or hassles of anything complicated or than needed power. I look at reverse osmosis systems, but they are expensive and seemed to take up a lot of space under the counter. I found this 5-stage filter system and I’ve been really pleased with this as a low-cost, no-hassle filter that was very simple to fit. The system is designed to filter out chemicals and impurities, but allow through the mineral content. It certainly makes our tap water taste great and gets rid of the chlorine and anything else that’s been put in there (or allowed to get in there) from the water company.
I’m not the world’s greatest DIY expert by any means, but I found this really easy to install. It comes with a standard chrome faucet similar to those that come with almost all filter types, and the only tricky thing about the installation is drilling a hole for it. I drilled through our stainless steel sink, but if you want to put it through a counter you might need to get a specialist in, especially if you’ve got anything fancy like granite.
Once the faucet is in place, all you need to do is connect one of the supplied hoses from the filter output to the faucet (the output is a push-fit connector, faucet is a threaded type) and then another from the filter input to the main water line - there’s a special connector provided that you just install between your water inlet and your existing sink cold water line. Again it’s all push fit. I was a little concerned about these push connectors but they really work! I’ve had zero leaks and they are so simple.
All you need to do then is turn the main water back on, and my advice would be to open your new filter faucet really slowly just to allow the air to escape and the water to enter the filter unit. It might spray and splash a bit until all the air is out, but after a minute or two it runs fine.
The output is listed as 60 liters per hour - I have no way of measuring it but water certainly comes out of the filter faucet at an acceptable speed. It’s slower than the main pressure, but then of course it’s got to pass through all the filters so this is to be expected. However it’s not so slow that you’ll get frustrated waiting for it to fill a glass or the coffee machine!
Finally, it works! Our water tastes like… water, rather than a chemical after-taste. It’s also great to know that this unit is removing any other nasties that we don’t want and it’s doing it quietly without any moving parts or pumps or electrical systems, etc. I really recommend this kit if you want a simple way to enjoy filtered water without chemicals and other contaminants at home.
This is a really great value for money set. I installed on my boat to ensure our drinking water was top notch, had to modify the mount a bit and mess about with taking off the plastic wrapped filters within each of the cans but all good.
The fitting for the mini tap was also not the right size for my plumbing, but that is hardly the manufacturers fault.
Would be 5 stars if they supplied a faucet option that was a bit smaller, this one is too tall for my application.
This also failed to get the 'hose rubber' taste out of the water which we thought it would handle, but no drama, better to have a potable water hose anyway.
FAQ both UF and RO System
1.If the water purifier discharges black water, can I still drink it?
Black water is normal. There are two reasons for this: First, the first time you use the purifier, there will be black water because the carbon in the filter is black. Wait 3-5 minutes, and the water will be clean and drinkable. Second, if you’ve been using your filter for a long time and black water starts to appear again, then you need to replace the filter
2.If water is in the filter for half a year or more, can I still use it?
Replace your filter and water every six months. After six months of use, water is not drinkable and cannot be used.
3.Do you have replacement filter kits and what is the cost?
Replacement filters are sold in BACOENG.
4.This looks like an RO system w/o the tank. What is the minimum water pressure and flow rate for this system to work?
It is UF system,different from RO system with tank.
It is used for public water,and RO for all water.
Flow of UF is more than RO.UF-15Gal/H RO-3Gal/H
5.Would you recommend this system for a well water scenario?
If you want pure well water.RO system is better than UF but you need a diaphragm booster pump because inlet pressure should be 40-50psi.
RO system and diaphragm booster pump are also sold in BACOENG.
6.When using two weeks,the bottom of mine shattered. Why?
And where can I buy the clear filter housing?
