Q1. I have installed and used this vacuum chamber in accordance with the instructions, but the vacuum only reached -25inHg. And after 20minutes, it was left with -20inHg, what should I do?
Here attached correct steps for you:
1.Open the top cover of the gauge(on the chamber)
2.Tighten the joint and keep seal
3.keep the chamber cover clean, and press the cover tightly to let it suck the chamber
Now, we will analyze several possible scenarios are analyzed that lead to non sealing:
1.There is something leak, according to the instructions to determine the leak point (pump, pipe joints, barrels), if it is barrel leak, and then check which specific parts of the leak (table, valve, silicone ring), we will send you the relevant accessories.
2. Silicone rings may be dusty and please clean or wipe it with water.
3. When you vacuum, please press the silicone ring
4. Uneven edge of vacuum chamber will lead to leakage (the possibility is relatively small because of full inspection), if it is, we will resend a new barrel to you.
Q2. Were you able to pull a full 29 inHg of vacuum? I could only get 27 inHg.
Normal vacuum pressure gauges show relative pressure. Therefore any measurements are dependent on the atmospheric pressure, which is dependent on height above sea level and air conditions. Let’s say we have a certain vacuum at sea level and the gauge shows -0.095 MPa(-28 inHg). At 900 m or 2950 ft height above sea level the same vacuum gives -0.085 MPa (-25in Hg)on the gauge, although the vacuum quality in the two situations is exactly the same. If you ensure no leaks, -29~-27 inHg is regarded as normal.
Q3. I need the vacuum of -29 inHg, why does the pressure gauge show only max -14?
0.1 MPa=100,000 Pa=14.5 PSI=29.5 inHg
As you see, our vacuum gauge measuring range is 0~-0.1 MPa/-14 PSI
If you keep every connectors sealed and operate correctly, the negative pressure can reach at least -14 PSI(-28.5 inHg) even -0.1 MPa(-29.5 inHg). If you cannot get the result, that means there is a leak. Please read our instruction and then check leak.

Q5. When I brought the chamber down to 12psi vacuum cracks radiated from both the vacuum and gauge holes drilled into the acrylic lid. What can be done about the problem?
a. According to our experience, some applications may cause lid crack such as stabilizing wood with cactus juice. Please do not evacuate corrosive chemical materials.
b. Continuing to pull vacuum after the needle has stopped moving may cause crack.
c. Please don't maintain chamber in a high vacuum(or full vacuum) for more than 24 hours.
d. In a high-vacuum state, please do not collide and hit the vacuum chamber, also try not to move to avoid collisions.
e. Acrylic is fragile, please avoid falling from height.

Q6. Oil leaked from vacuum chamber pressure gauge. Is the vacuum chamber still work? Do I need to add oil?
A: The main function of oil is to prevent gauge from damage in the shaking environment during transit. As the small rubber bit of the pressure gauge not covered, the oil was leaked during the transit. So if you use it normally(Not used in tremulous conditions), oil doesn't work for you.
Please clean up the oil. If you need to fill gauge with oil, We suggest you using silicone oil. Some people use glycerol, but the silicone oil is more resistant to low temperature, and its stability is better.

Q7. I have the BacoEng 1.5 gallon stainless vacuum chamber with the clear lid. I use it to degas two part urethanes. Why the silicone sealing ring is expanding?
A: We presume it is absorbing some of the component gasses. Silica gel rings are consumable and can be replaced. Please purchase it on our official website.
Q8. What's the square silicone pad for?
A:Food grade silicone pads. If the material you put inside the chamber is solid, you can put it directly on the silicone pad. Or it can be used to prevent contamination.
Q9. Why oil flow back to the hose? How to avoid it?
Some pumps produce a siphon phenomenon due to the difference in air pressure. In order to avoid the vacuum pump oil flow back to the vacuum hose and ruin your material, please Don’t turn off the vacuum pump directly without closing the valves on the vacuum chamber.
Right Steps: Once the vacuum gauge needle stops moving, regardless of where it stops, close the vacuum valve on the pump side first, and turn the pump off.
Q10. The lid is cracked!
Please center the lid when apply full vacuum!
Using some solvents such as Cactus Juice, Gator Venom, Minwax, alcohol, ethanol, acetone, and acrylic based monomers or polymers can cause a chemical reaction with the acrylic lid and cause cracks to it. If you work with the above solvents, please purchase the BACOENG tempered glass lid vacuum chamber product. Can you tell me the thread size on your connecting pieces at the end of the hose comes with the chamber? We already have a good vacuum pump and would like to hook up your 3-gallon vacuum chamber to it. I need the right adaptor fitting for the tread. Thanks,
